Artist Support
Starting your business, finding your style, basics of drawing, finding clients, giving your artistic career a boost, breaking into the world of picture book illustration, or needing help to move forward with a personal art project… these are all challenges I’ve personally faced during my own career.
Today, after 10 years of experience in this field, I occasionally offer time slots to support, mentor or even work as an accountability buddy to other fellow artists and illustrators.
Sessions are 1 hour and are all virtual, so access to a computer, a smart phone or tablet is essential.
Who is it for?
-Beginner artists
-Artists wanting to develop their style further
-New children’s books artists and illustrators

“Leila put a lot of thought in her tailored approach to my lessons. She was patient, gentle and generous with her time. She shared her knowledge about different artist's approaches to illustration as well as about the different tools we can use in the practice of the art. I would highly recommend Leila for individual lessons to improve your art and broaden your perspective.”

Drawing, painting, and art in general, offer a quiet space to slow down and breathe. As colours blend and lines take shape, worries begin to soften. Creating art helps calm the mind, ease stress, and bring a gentle sense of focus. It’s not about being perfect, but about feeling present, peaceful, and quietly proud of what your hands have made.
Several studies have been published demonstrating that drawing and making art everyday can improve communication skills, observational skills and analytical skills, along with problem solving skills and fine motor skills.
It is also believed to be a great tool for stress relief, memory retention and emotional regulation.
